Recorded on 8/2/08 near Goshen, Virginia. Travelling on Rt 39, just east of Goshen, gives one this awesome scene where you can pull off the road and take a peek at the rocky creek below. Some pull-offs offer a wandering trail down to the creek itself, where the landscape is almost moon-like with the enormous rocks strewn about! I also decided to show some of the 'Cindy Loves Joe' inscriptions painted on the overlook stone wall! You think all these people are still in love???

  • This 'creek' is the Maury River - Goshen Pass - Most popular whitewater in Virginia and is rated high difficulty. The 6 mile trip has numerous class II, class III, and two class IV rapids: Devil’s Kitchen and Corner Rapid. You must have passed through during a drought. It's a beautiful area. Hope you enjoyed it. : )
