  • @Farloon

Except this video wasn't about who capture Monte Cassino but show the french army assault during Monte Cassino.

  • WTF

whats the name of this movie?

Polish Army captured Monte Cassino !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @skreczujacasurykatka

While an air strike destroyed the headquarters of the German Tenth Army, the Advanced CEF, both in mountain valleys, thus breaking the defenses of the German Gustav Line and facilitates the progression of the British and Americans. They reach and quickly Spigno. May 17, 1944, Kesselring ordered his troops to leave Cassin aside for fear of being enveloped by the French maneuver.

  • The same day, the road is intersected by the 13th Corps, and the Polish 2nd Polish Corps of General Anders launched the attack on the monastery, which falls on 18. Polish troops hoist their flag over the ruined monastery.

  • Sorry to say this but this is NOT monte cassino, which was a monastry in Italy and was bombed to rubble before any attack occured.

  • @12qw34er56rt

It was the fourth and last battle of Monte Cassino:

"On May 14 Moroccan Goumiers, travelling through the mountains parallel to the Liri valley, ground which was undefended because it was not thought possible to traverse such terrain, outflanked the German defence while materially assisting the XIII Corps in the valley."

  • What is the name of the movie?, je suis Francais mes je ne parle pas bien Francais. And French soldies are the best. These are Marokan soldier/militia.

  • @darsh9999 Wikipedia, Am I right? French soldiers didn't fight well. They died well. They were stay in the safe zone when Polish Corps attacked Cassino. Heavy artylery attacks from Albanetta just stoped Polish soldiers because Americans or British soldiers leave the battlefield at this moment. Only thanks heroism of Polish soldiers Monte Cassino were been captured and only thanks Polish soldiers.

  • @zweijntje I do not care to enlarge the importance of involving the Poles at Monte Cassino, because Polish Armed Forces in the West, or only the 2nd PC have had many significant victories. The Western Allies were so grateful for Polish help tham they didnt invited them to participate in the final parade to end of the war.USA and UK feared the reaction of Stalin, pussies! But the Poles captured Berlin (unfortunately with the Soviets).Remember Poles fought in the AF in the West and East!

  • @zweijntje monastery was empty when the Poles had kick out away the Germans. Thank the Americans for the destruction of historic monastery :/

  • @zweijntje

It does not change the fact that Moroccans were French at the time so you say anything.

  • @skreczujacasurykatka You are absolutely right, but that does,nt change the fact the Polish conquered an empty monastery. The Fallschirmjager did slip away during the night before the last attack.

  • @skreczujacasurykatka Is,nt that Verdun enough for you, and the Polisch came last after numerous attacks where repelled by the Fallschirmjager.by Americans, Australians New zealanders English, But I have to give it to you, the Polish where amongst the most brave soldriers in WO2 and where never given credit for that.

  • @jeffkodiac The Marrocans where occupied by the French, and they hated them for that.

  • @91OCB You are right, the only ones who really knew how to fight where the Waffen SS and the Red Army, the rest of the so called allies had to come with the whole world to defeat a few SS divisions in Normandy. It took them approx 2 months and a whole lot of overkill. And still it was a narrow victory. But winner write history and falsify it, neatly done in this pathetic litle film.

  • @91OCB Their "grensplatt" language sounds like German to me. The Elsass people in their heart are German. The French forbade them to speak it to try to root that out. Many Elsass men fought in the Whermacht during WO2, and after the war the Frech commited a lot of crimes there.
