first contact

i spent about half an hour filming this grasshopper today, i felt there was a real inquisitiveness about her and after i finished filming she climbed up on a blade of grass and just stared at me...i got my face within about 10cm of her and we just stared into eachothers eyes for several minutes...after about 30 seconds of staring i felt my pupils dilate, my peripheral vision became blurred and it felt like we were locked in a two way information download! this was the first time ive ever felt a real affinity with an insect and it makes me wonder what kind of information we were exchanging? ...maybe tonight i will dream what its like to be a grasshopper and she will dream what its like to be a human!

Strangely Enough,I Had a Very Similar Experience With a Butterfly Which Landed on My Windowsill,That Same day a Bird Entered Our Kitchen,We Were Observing Eachother,The Bird Showed No Sign of Fear or Panic,after 20Minutes We Set The Bird Free.We all Have Our First Contacts.

I completely agree with outled and readymade. This video captures the natural beauty that is always around us. Whilst people rush about their daily lives they miss everything. You can see so much in a minute if you stop and take a look. I say this whilst dexter the cat sits and stares at me! thankyou thankyou fox408

That makes me glow to hear another have such an exchange, my belief is that all nature is trying to bond, the nonverbal conversation is the most clearest and honest dialogue. We all seem to share the same understanding of body language and proxemics, but more than that i believe it to be a psychic experience.

Even when i talk to animals i somehow always get a reply, there is definitely a universal innate language. :)
