  • This is so bloody good - thank you a lot. I have a '55 gibson consolette (2 eight string necks) and a pre war bakelite. After I manage now to play "simple stuff" I want to master the consolette. How did you tune for the chet atkins style? sounds like a major cord. Because of your videos I will learn now to play on more than six strings (FACEGACE and ??). Thanks again - martin (germany)

  • This is spooky! I watched the latest Buddy Emmons video on the SGF, where he uses this technique. I new you played this style and used the you-tube search for yor name. Loads of stuff!! I decided to just click a random video before doing a proper search and Hey Presto! Here it is, the very first one I look at.

    Cheers, Bobbe.

  • Great stuff Bobbe!

You make it so clear, I believe I'll go do some of that right now.

  • Nice technique, thanks for the intro to fingerstyle.

Plus check out the "string pull" @ 3:50.

Watch his 3rd finger on his left hand pull the note up a tone.

Bobbe packs a lot of info in his instruction videos.
