My drive in life sure as hell isn't the goal of getting money,Humans all have the greed gene but most are ruled by it.I've never met anyone "yet" who isn't a greedy fuckstick,ya i want this and i want that but i know when not to waste money that could buy my next meal.I label myself poor but that don't make any of you better than me and vice versa..Most likely every problem that the world has ever had involves currency one way or the other.Money,oh fuckin well right.?One nation under Greed.
my dad grew up in a mud hut came to canada worked went to university and now makes 450,000$ a year and works 40h a week 46weeks a year. he started in a mud hut, goto mcdonals work save be smart succeed stop complaining unless your unable to work i dont care how poor you are if you do things rigt you can get anywhere dont expect people who slave themselves for years to get out of poverty to hand out stuff to the ones who didnt
The church owns trillions of dollars in assets and property. people give 10% yet that almost never makes it to the very poor they preach about. So sell all church buildings give it to the poor and tithe your 10% to the poor directly. This alone will end poverty and then and only then will we actually BE THE CHURCH! dumping money on the street says nothing if you are not willing to sell all. SELL IT and then they will take you seriously. until then they will forget then pr
These "wealthy" people have created millions of jobs and many of these wealthy people give millions of dollars to the poor. Forget the wealthy people and the corporations . I say the "church" should live what they preach. The "church" can start by selling all their real estate and useless buildings and literally give the money to the poor. then and only then will the rest of the people know you mean business. you mentioned nothing of the wealthy churches. church give your money to the poor!
yes giving should be done in secret so your pride does not increase. because a lot of people like Oprah and celebrities do it for fame and it makes them feel good. Giving should'nt make you feel good. It should be done for the sake of sharing and making sure everyone is taken care of. Shane and these people are doing this to state that there so much money on Wall Street yet there are few people sharing the wealth because of greed. Its good to give publicly in situations like this.
Of course giving should make you feeld good. Everything that you do should make you feel good. Secret sharing is cool, but what if you're presented the choice: Secretly, or overtly? What do you do? Not share publicly, because you're ashamed? Why feel guilty about giving?
quick question...can someone who is associated with this video or was there that day answer it? Why was the money dropped on the ground for the poor to grovel over it on hands and knees like the always have to do? Was it as a "spectacle" for the wall street execs to see? I hope not. Can somebody explain the reasoning for that?
sorry, i wasnt there on the day but i dont think anyone has answered? if they have sorry .. but a movment called the simple way, of which shane clairborne is part of, did this simply as a way of giving to people.. but also to show everyone the value of money isnt really that much... that is not the most important thing here. LOVE IS. the throwing of it was to show how we shouldnt hang onto money so much and it was done on wall street to highlight the inequality of current wealth distribution.
I guess so get sympathy by showing rich guys what poor people have to do every day anyway, just to survive. It's plain reality. Poor people are used to crawling on the concrete but a rich CEO wouldn't even bother pickung up 10 Dollars on the street.
dude that's a little foolish to say giving should be done in secret. Jesus himself, said let your light shine before men. And did Jesus "give" thousands of people food?
