1919 Worthington natural gas pumping engine. 18" bore X 18" stroke. Two cylinder (side by side) Double Acting (Fires on both sides of the piston) Runs on Labor Day Weekends at the Western Minnesota Steam Threshers Reunion in Rollag Minnesota.
@Dolphindream15 It was used a natural gas compressor, Used to run on the same gas it pumped. Now it is just run as a display using propane as the fuel.
its great to still see old things still working but whats this engines purpose what does it do does it give power to something or is it just started up to just show how it runs,,,,if thats the case what was this engine used for when it was first built,,,and what do you use this engine for now,,,
This engine rules!! Love these old large gas engines. Is it just me or is the governor spinning way too slow compared to how fast the crank is turning?
beautiful engine, and what a lullaby of a sound in makes!

Beautiful, they last forever because the RPM is so slow. Much more durable then modern engines.
