Yes playing by sheet has its advantages but so does playing by ear

Scott Wendholt! He's going to be my schools guest artist in a week and a half. I am so excited!

I LOVE that trumpet solo.

Very nicely done, I Play by ear but can play bass on NIT love it your muted horn sounds like Miles nice touch! I wish I read a lot better but I must admit I flow by ear better although the foucus for playing that way leaves me kinda wasted becaus I have to memorize so much without the luxury of playing it to sheet! Hats off to you sheet readers.

Oh that's good. I really like Scott Wendholt particularly his work with the fabulous VJO.
