Choir of Hard Knocks

A review of the DVD of the inspirational ABC television series Choir of Hard Knocks. It's about a group of homeless and disadvantaged people in Melbourne who form a choir under the leadership of former Opera Australia principal Jonathon Welch. They also have Aussie rock singer Jimmy Barnes as their patron. Go out and buy it.

I watched and must say I am not at all surprised at the amazing talents, after all those who have had the hard knocks are usually the most amazing people, I should know, I have known many that other so called normal people wouldnt give the time of day to, and let me say this, those I have met have taught me so many valuable things that otherwise would of passed me by. Never judge a book by its cover! fantastic, loving, wonderful people worthy of love and admiration, and they have mine!

I am in New Zealand but my daughter lives in Melbourne and told me about the choir. I picked up the DVD and CD last year while there.

Abolutely inspirational. I am in a small a singing group and members have seen the video and are blown away with the strength of the people in the choir.

Isn't singing is just the greatest thing.

Best wishes for 2008 and I will keep an eye out for another CD

i watched choir of hard knocks DVD and i was truly touched. You have a wonderful voice. Im glade to see that the choir is geting the oppertunities you all deserve.

everytime Jon cried, i cried just because he cried. It really was a beautiful series wasnt it...i havent got the dvd, but i have to cd...so awesome
