  • Fuck a Republican. They are having us wait for the extension because they want us to get mad at Obama. They are covering his eyes with The health care reform.

  • Some verses the GOP may have forgotten?

"If there is a poor man among your brothers in any of the towns of the land that the LORD your God is giving you, do not be hardhearted or tightfisted toward your poor brother." Deuteronomy 15:7 "He who mocks the poor shows contempt for their Maker; whoever gloats over disaster will not go unpunished." Proverbs 17:5 "If a man shuts his ears to the cry of the poor, he too will cry out and not be answered." Proverbs 21:13, there are too many more to list.

  • These Senate pinheads didn't read the NOV 09 extension DEADLINE. THERE WILL BE NO EXTENSION of any kind in effect after DEC 31, 09. So if your regular claim ends anytime next year. Your screwed after that. They didn't apply any extensions into 2010. Believe it!

  • Extended benefits for the unemployed is a lie, A cutoff for all Fed-Ed ends on Dec 31, 09. Anyone whos claim (regular or extension) ends after that is SOL. There is no follow on extension as of yet. Forget HEALTHCARE. Jobs and Unemployment should be the first priority.

  • this is the last week of my unemployment benefit, i got kids to take care of, if i run out my unemployment how am i going to feed family? they need to pass this extention. ASP.

  • they should tag on something that republicans want, burried deep in a liberal bill and see if it passes....$100 says not a single republican reads it and says no anyway.

republicans? more like the NO party.

  • W. Bush cut about 136 billion in corporate taxes in 2004...

basically rewarding companies that sent US jobs oversees. And not suprising, those tax cuts didnt end up being an "incentive" to keep jobs here...

  • The best way to create jobs is to cut corporate taxes. You'll notice that since dums took over congress, they raised taxes on all businesses, even small ones, who then were forced to lay off their employees to pay for the higher taxes. It's always been that way and will be. It was easy to predict this recession/depression back in 2006 if dums won. They always screw up the economy. Clinton inherited a rebounding economy, rode it for years and then trashed it with tax and interest hikes.

  • It's very obvious that dums want to force everyone onto the govt. dole so they can expand their power over the people, force health scare down our throats and hike taxes to the max to fulfill their socialist dreams. But what will dums do when they run out of other people's money? Idiots like Durbin are beyond belief!

  • things are moving forward. we should have a vote on the bill hopefully today or tomorrow, then it goes to the president and the white house already spoke well of the positive Cloture vote on the unemployment extension yesterday. So it will get signed right away br President Obama.
