My attempt at another 'Home THoughts' album track combining vid clips from Jane Eyre and the beautiful music of CTW and his love of English and the intricacies of love. Many thanks to all contributors. Enjoy.

I wish I had the wherewithal
To attract your attention
Wish I had the wherewithal
To attract your attention

You are so nonpareil
You introduce a new elation in my life
But you are so nonchalant
I don't suppose this new sensation will materialise

I wish I had the wherewithal
To attract your attention
Wish I had the wherewithal
To attract your attention

If I hadn't inhibitions enough to cope with
Now you come along beautiful and leave me hoping
If it wasn't complicated enough to start with
Now you're making this feeling so hard to part with

Instrumental

You are so nonpareil
You introduce a new elation in my life
But you are so nonchalant
I don't suppose this new sensation will materialise

I wish I had the wherewithal
To attract your attention
Wish I had the wherewithal
To attract your attention
I wish I had the wherewithal
To attract your attention
(Repeat and fade)

  • @707roni Never a chore or work but simply a labour of love in trying to keep memories and wonderful words alive in the present. Many thanks for viewing and enjoying..thank you.

  • Excellent video, lovely clips from probably the best version of Jane Eyre, and lovely slow mo of the dove, you are very talented. I had forgotten temporarily what a fantastic under-rated singer Clifford T. Ward was, until Ken Bruce played him this am. on his morning show. God bless you Cliff, and thanks for posting.x

  • @gillwilkinsongw Many thanks for kind words and so delighted you enjoyed.Peace and contentment.

  • I always read that CTW's songs capture the essence of englishness. I love this tune and many others. Funny thing is I'm german, so don't hold it against me. Maybe I'm kind of an english german.

  • Clifford T Ward was most certainly a genius .... he was never "an upper class little shit". He was a working class gentleman from worcrstershire, england. Rest in peace sir, your music and poetry will live forever. Thank you so much!
