communism was and is a failure, the only way that china is strong is it had to embrace its enemy capitalism! which its smart but in the end it will fall because of the mixture, what they faught and die for they are repeating the same mistake they fought

Mao replaced one autocracy (the KMT) with an other, far more brutal dictatorship (the CCP.) Of course people were sick of Chiang Kai Shek who had failed to solve any of the country's problems and who was in fact carrying out brutal repression. The Maoists promised people a better life- and what did they deliver? Famine, mass starvation, torture, public executions, chaos. Some "revolution."

Every government system was and is a failure, neither communism or capitalism... none of them will helps the poors and majorities, but eventually rob and enrich the so called elites, politicians and the riches by introduce all kinds of laws, rules and regulations for us to follow, as an ordinary citizen like us will leave no choice, either obey it or punished ...

@33guyfawkes i guess you could say that in some ways, because, after all, he did save the country from chiang kai seik, but also, his revolutions caused mass famine and starvation. my mother grew up in this era, and she says that it was very hard for them, becuase they were peasants, not the rich autocrats.

ALL goverments of the world could kill inocent people to get prosperity for their SATANIC countries. Where are your from? I bet your country killed many people too

@InseperableUnion of course chinese products are cheaper, chinese workers are slaves. Some American companies like Apple send investments to China, cuz chinese slaves are cheap and hard workers. This chinese communists regime is a real monster, they use their own people to bring foreing investments
