At some point when you are tuning your snare, you have to decide and go for a specific note as a reference. Hold the note in youre head or sing it again as a reference. This I always find hard. And can somebody explain what thirds, fourths of a note is!!?

It should also be mentioned that the way a drum sound is greatly dependent on the size and "sound" of the room. Even if Jared was using a drum dial and you used the exact settings, doesn't mean that your drums would sound just like his. Because your room would be different. Alot of people that are watching this probably play in a basement or garage, or even a small bedroom so your snare will inherently sound different than this one. Just FYI. So don't get discouraged if it doesn't sound the same
