  • um, mr/ms gidgetsdigitalgadget the troll, could you recommend then some of the Great True Real Artistic Irish Music? I'm really curious about it, I just came upon this couple of songs on youtube and quite liked it. Now you're telling me they are all shit compared to some unfortunate folks with less money, so I'm all excited about learning more about them.

  • @mcsuperdude11, nah, nah, nah, you don't get it! Not just this song, and any song they cover they just put on a false Irish 'hearty boys' singing. It just doesn't sound natural, Canadian, nor Nova Scotian.

  • @gidgetsdigitalgadget

This song was written by Stan Rogers, although born in Ontario his parents were Maritimers and he spent his summers in Nova Scotia, this is a Maritimer song, a Maritimer cover, with a Maritimer soul. If you don't like it stop commenting because nobody cares what you think because nobody agrees with you. Just because the name of the band is "Irish Descendants" doesn't mean they are using irish music. Go listen to the Stan Rogers version and tell me it isn't Maritimer

  • @mvfusion and to YOU, the same shit is going on now, as it did many years ago: those with the money, and muscle, get on the stages, make recordings, and basically saturate the public with mediocre shit, while the REAL artists, who are less fortunate financially, because of assholes like Descendants and Big FEE, don't get to display their superior talents. I'm so sick of this mediocre singing and playing which is just based on macho, false heartiness.

A bunch of KUNTS who shouldn't be on stage.

  • @FlameofStryfe, well, FUCK YA your fucking self there mate! You're "trying to listen to music"? You're like the cowboy with the brown nose: looking for love in all the wrong places.

The Descendants, Great Big FEE, and all the rest are all alike. They've nothing of their own, no disrespect on that front, but TO TAKE IRISH MUSIC AND DECONSTRUCT IT,M OR RATHER REVERSE-ENGINEER IT AND COME UP WITH THAT FUCKING SHITE IS SHAMEFUL. For one thing, these assholes are there due to 'connections'. Bullshit.

  • @gidgetsdigitalgadget oh fuck of ya great moron, we're trying to listen to music here.

  • @gidgetsdigitalgadget Looks like somebody has a load of sand in their vagina. Music is meant to be enjoyed, and if you don't enjoy this particular variation then piss off! The world has plenty enough assholes as it is.

  • @mcsuperdude11m, it's NOT "maritimer music" at all, proud as you may be. Pride is a capital sin. A bear is proud of the big dump he leaves in your backyard.

No, this is a bad copy of Irish music. Somebody must have heard a drunken Irish singer and thought they should copy it.

Anne Murray and the like are the true Nova Scotia maritimer music.

The "Irish Descendants" are as bad as the Great Big FEE. All phony heartiness in the singing, no finesse at all. Music is more than that surely!

  • @gidgetsdigitalgadget

Damn straight this isn't Irish music, this is tried and true Nova Scotia Maritimer music, and we're proud of it!

  • @threenorns3 part British yes! Why do you ask?
