dedicated to Charlies memory CHARLIE AT MONKEY WORLD

Charlie the chimp at MONKEY WORLD IN DORSET`.He was rescued back in 1989 by Monkey Worlds creator Jim Cronin.The poor boy had been stolen from his mothers arms as a baby so mistreated battered,abused,all but 3 of his teeth had been removed and suffered heavy blows to his and a fractured jaw he was also addicted to prescripion drugs. but with love care and nurturing he flourished as much as was physically possible, he enjoyed many years of happiness but sadly his poor health age and past caught up with him and sadly he passed away Sundy Feb 8h 2009.
He was one off,a unique charachter known world wide and his loss will be mourned by many people.
He was such a sweetheart with happy kind nature and just wanted to eat (his fave hobby) and play never wanting to get into fights nor engage in the groups political issues.

RIP CHARLIE wherever you I hope your hands are full of food and in the arms of your beloved JIM and in the company of allour old friends esp Rodney.

we will miss you love you always xxxxxxxxx

was at MW yesterday and spoke to Mike was amazed to hear that Gordon is to be a dad have you heard the news. I purchased one of the pavers in Jims walk of thanks when they first came out and was so happy when i spotted mine and my sons Craig right next to Jim Alison and Jeremy paver (i'm easily pleased) had a lovely day there great to see all the apes and monkeys again

awful treatment that he endured. he was a sweet old fellow the episode where he was introduced to the nursery gang and put a leaf through the door. very touching.

poor Charlie, i did`nt realise he was gone. Despite his terrible early years at least he had 20 wonderful years at monkey world. Charlie was so amazing, despite the abuse inflicted on him he never lost his gentle nature.

Oh no! I didn't realise until now.

i was planning on going to Dorset one day and see Monkey World. I especially wanted to see Charlie since he was the monkey of the show on TV.
