  • I've been riding sport bikes for about 3 years daily (600 supersports). When a rider tucks, usually it is not for performance reasons, its because WIND IS ANNOYING, loud, and can buffet you so bad that you may potentially lose control of the bike. Having your frontal body exposed to 80mph-180mph winds is dangerous when you are trying to control the bike. Im sure performance is increased, probably not by much.

  • @MrJng1717 actually i'm very well educated... and yes, technically tucking does lower wind resistance, but my point is this... with the size of the engine on the ninja 250, and the weight of the bike, tucking doesnt lower drag enough to really be noticeable, and thus, is pointless in this particular situation... and the whole "rolling your windows up increasing you MPG" that you posted about, has been disproven time after time after time... so i now have to call your intelligence into question.

  • @airforceranger48 knowledge of physics > knowledge of bikes. tucking at any speed decreases wind resistance, therefore creating more speed and better fuel mileage. either way you wanna look at it, tucking helps reduce wind resistance. get an education.

  • @MrJng1717 obviously you don't know much about bikes... cuz tucking on a ninja 250 is really not needed... it doesn't have enough power to make tucking useful. usually it's only useful at 100+ mph

  • @airforceranger48 obviously you don't know much about physics. on a car, if you just put your front windows down your force of air friction goes way up. you can lose up to 5 mpg. so by tucking on a motorcycle, you will get a much better friction ratio so that you can go faster more quickly and also get better gas mileage.

  • @dilligaf1942 Yeah I know... I wasn't asking literally how did he miss 2nd gear, I asked how the fuck do YOU miss 2nd gear when it's literally just a slide down from 1st...

  • @iKnollex the car missed 2nd gear. probably went from 1st to 4th. not hard to do when you're focussed on the bike next to you instead of driving like this battler was.

  • @airforceranger48 beleive it or not it does , If I tuck in my 250 r I can get about another 10 mph top speed and I will get about a free 5 mph just by tucking , I am sure you get better MPH too !

  • @airforceranger48 regardless of speed I tuck when I forget to put my visor down, it feels good sometimes, but the other times the wind hitting my face is annoying.
