@darkheart110 it is a shame no country shows the true history of greece&india,it wld explain a lot why both countries enjoy each other's cultures&music.even saw in a festival in my mountain village where indians joined the circle of dancing&were video taping the dancing&music.i think the same wld hv happened if greeks were at an indian festival in india.it is in our blood.thu we r christians yu can see the mysticism in it unlike catholics

@evelynacandy believe it or not the big greek cities showed hindi films with greek subtitles in the 50s&60s but when the military junta came into power it was forbidden to show them even though today yu can still hear greek classical songs fm the hit songs in those days like fm 'mother india'.purpose was to forget our eastern roots as don't forget part of Asia Minor was Greek.junta wanted us westernized for modernization reasons.Now my mountain village show on projector hindi films to young&old

Yes, you are right. I think that many Greeks descendants would be found there alive today if it were not for the Mongol invasions that swept Europe and Asia.
The ancient Greeks were highly influential in spreading the message of Buddha to the Far East.

this was great!! it is a shame they don't put hindi films with greek subtitles like they did in the 50s & 60s coz there are so many things in common with India & Greece we do not know about. Once upon a time there was an Indo-Greek Kingdom for 200 years between BC-AD, & I'm sure there was influence from both sides.
