  • Isn't this just a light table with huge clunky blocks instead of paper?

  • Right, you got it! There are black-and-white printed markers at the bottom of each cube. A camera beneath the table surface can see and distinguish these markers.

  • It's kind of neat. Much more aesthetic than the clunky things from high school. ;)

  • The surface is opaque acrylic glass.

  • Heya, how does the camera interpret the images on the bottom of the blocks?

  • it's a real cube that controls live music, not that crappy cursor... this is the aesthetic issue here!
