he's playing from memory anyway, so surely it doesnt matter where he looks?

Better in tune??? I hope you aren't a bassist, because you have no idea how difficult this concerto is if you aren't, and for that matter no idea how difficult it truly is to be in tune on the instrument.
Kudos to your performance, Ian.

could be more in tune, but otherwise good. youll become a better bass player once you learn to stop looking at your hand as well.
