CAPTIVES - Tim Roth - Julia Ormond - CHANEY - (Love Hurts)

Love... No-one plans it out... it just happens. No idea how it starts... no idea where, or how, or if it'll work - or end. One thing's for sure; it isn't always sweet words & bright lights. Sometimes it strikes in the dark, digs in deep and hurts like hell on earth - and makes prisoners of anyone it touches.

CAPTIVES. 1994. Nearing the end of his prison sentence; allowed out on day-release to attend college, Philip Chaney (Tim Roth) begins a relationship with, Rachel Clifford (Julia Ormond) - who works part-time as a Dentist at the same prison.

Personally; I'm LOVING this film. I've only recently found it, and just cannot get enough of it now. And I'm floored by the remarkable performances of the incredibly talented, Tim Roth and Julia Ormond.
I just don't feel I'm watching, actors "acting" - more like, I'm in the corner of the room, watching real people living real lives. And THAT, is what makes this film "live" for me.

(This is just a fanvid, nothing more. Intended purely as a tribute for the film and for, Tim Roth & Julia Ormond.
I've done the best I can, within my limited abilities - and just hope my little vid may find favour. And my grateful thanks for anyone who takes the time to watch what I've attempted to create)

(I really felt for Tim's character "Chaney" - Caged & almost forgetting how to respond to a kind & gentle nature that offers hope for a life beyond the prison walls)

Yeah, it's a film I can REALLY recommend. (Inspired me to try to make a couple more vids; and it takes a helluva lot to do that now) It's one of those films where ALL the characters are interesting - but, for me, it's Mr. Tim Roth who caught my attention from the second he walked down the prison stairs.

It's an incredible film, truly. And very underrated, imho. All the characters are totally believable, and the main performances by Mr. Roth & Ms. Ormond are real, poignant & stunningly powerful. I'm sure you'd love it!
