James Ingram is by far one of the greatest male vocalists of our time. His music range and vocal reach place him beyond the troposphere where very few are in sound. In my opinion, only Ingram and Jeffrey Osborne hit the vocal mark on this level. That classic stylistic howl and his elongated pausing and the stretch of his words at the end of his music is Ingram’s classic signature. There's No Easy Way (to break somebody's heart) and his work with Patti Austin is some of his best!
