Magazines That are Scams. How Reputable Are The Stories You Read.

I am calling out a couple of local magazines that have out right demanded I pay for ads or they won't write about me.

I am a former publisher and want to say to you that she was a lousy publisher and businesswoman. #1 because of how she approached you to sell and ad, and #2 she didn't leave a tip! Yes, magazines and newspapers can be very biased as to ads and content. Some are truly interested in being a community publication which will bring you more honest articles and reviews, but truly what they are doing is filling their content with advertisers articles to so they don't have to write them themselves. lazy

I'm kinda surprised that the ppl that have commented didn't realize this is the way magazines make money. Thats why they are such a joke. Kinda stinks because you have to either know someone or visit or try something your self to know about it. Just cant trust anything when money is involved seems to be the theme of this world haha

Everyone should boycott the magazine, She was so rude. Any magazine or news paper that demands you run an ad with them to get an editorial done on you should be put out of business because they're only in the business for the money not to provide a useful service to the community. Provide a useful service and the money will come in on it's own, people will be willing to buy your service.

That is horrible ! It is pretty sad that everything has to revolve around money . And that was very rude for that reporter to not leave a tip . I would much rather read reputable articles . Honesty is the best policy ,but unfortunately it's shoved under the rug in todays world .
