Conductor Robert Boudreau performed right after sunset. 190 ft Barge Point Counterpoint docked at Steamboat Rd June 2007 to bring classical and contemporary music to the people. The boat is 50 years old - a collaboration of the late Louis Kahn and Boudreau. New Haven is next! (Festival of Arts and Ideas)

  • Hey, I'm twelve years old and I get to play with the orchestra in 4 days. Tell me how was it? Will it be something I will always remember?

  • I was in the orchestra for the 25th anniversary back in 1981. I was 19 and green as can be, but it was a fun 5 month tour. The boat had a hard time going across the ocean to Puerto Rico, and at one point it almost went into Cuban waters. Boudrea lamented that he wish it had, it would have been great publicity to get picked up by the Cuban govt. Memories!

  • I was a youngster of about 6 or 7 years of age when AWSO visited Londonderry in N.Ireland I remember being up on my fathers shoulders watching the soncert it was absolutly fantastic.

  • Wow I can't believe it! AWSO on youtube! I toured myself back in 92 and 93. Great memories!
