Removing the PlayStation 3 Slim's Hard Drive

Engadget has done a 'hands on' PlayStation 3 Slim video detailing the PS3 Slim hard drive removal, as we now know that it's upgradeable.

Check out the video below, and to quote: "There's also a small segment that confirms what many readers have asked about:

Yes, the 2.5-inch Serial ATA hard drive is indeed removable and is done so with Sony's blessing (i.e. no worries, it won't void your warranty).

The HDD enclosure is located behind a front panel just under the disk drive, which is a snap to pull out once you undo the blue screw from the bottom of the console."

@Extreml3yV3rsaT1le my xbox has 250gb lol and i love that i can take out my 250 gigs and take it to a friends house and play on my account and watch netflix and all my shit on his xbox. i mean i could just download my profile onto his account but it won't have all my stuff on it like games and shit. so yeah, your argument is invalid. @DubstopherWubson13 well thats because by default ps3's have massive hard drives, and do not ever need replacing, its pretty hard to use 250gb... i have over 100 movies on mine and im not even close, microsoft needs to save as much time as possible, having no screws saves you a few precious seconds so you can squeeze as much time as possible out of your xbox, and it gives you something you can cherish while your tenth xbox is away getting its rlod fixed

i have a question if you playstation break, wont turn on. can you take out your harddrive and put it in another playstation and all your stuff (videos, pics, music, saved games etc) be on it?
