Okay, this makes me tingle in all the right places

Air Conditioned!

I never raced it nor timed it on the 1/8 or 1/4 mile. It does fine for cruising and will run all day on the highway getting 20+ mpg with the AOD transmission. Unfortunately it does require 92 and better octane.

Thinking of buying one of these. My dad had a 67 XR7 Dan Gurney Special. He worked for Ford Motor Co in 66-67 and built the analog dashboard clocks. Many years later, when the clock stopped working, he disassembled it and found his inspection sticker inside. He had built the clock on the assembly line in Oct of 1966!

I bought a xr7 cluster for my 1967 cougar can anyone tell me where can I connect the rpm wires from the xr7 cluster

@510pancho. If your Cougar is a standard Cougar you will not be able to use the XR7 cluster without rewiring your car with the XR7 wiring harness. It is a big job.

what shade of white is that?

@northportmarine27 - It is called "Polar White" when applied to a Mercury vehicle and the same color is called "Wimbledon White" when on a Ford. Same color different name. It is a kind of creamy white color.

Is it a stock motor? Not saying original, but is it a cougar motor?
