I am thinking about getting this unit but have a question. It does not appear that there is enough room to slow smoke on the offset side alone. Is the Grill side available for low smoking when not being used to sear or does it always obtain the higher temp.?

The indirect side has 1 grill that is 18" x 18" and the direct side has 1 grill that is "10 x 18". The direct cannot be used as a slow smoke.
