As great as Sean was as Bond I don't think he could have played the vulnerability needed for the barn scene. Connery was too tough and cold to be as tender in those scenes. I think for this particular story Lazenby was the right choice.

Though no one can replace Sean Connery as a true James Bond, George Lazenby was very good in this movie . It would have made a great series for TV! Though I like Roger Moore as an actor playing The Saint, I really think Eric Breaden would have made a GREAT JAMES BOND during Connery's absence to the role! He's the only other actor that has the Sean Connery quality . The two have similarities that are unmatched!
