I still remember that crash, where the local villagers arrived to strip the corpses of all their valuable belongings. Not very Buddhist of them.

God Bless their souls

I think the same. There should be money to clean up the site and to put the human remains where they belong. Home ! My deepest feelings are with you. You lost people in the tragedy. That makes me sad. R.I.P. to all the passengers and crew !!

There you go. My comment was about the doomed aircraft and not about Thailand. This kind of mess can happen to any country where it is to expensive to recover everything. It is a matter of money. So I guess the dog of my friend would find some new "stuff" there. Very sad. That should not be real. If I were a left one from one of the passengers I would be very angry after seeing this.

@Slaterator Hmm well could be. But at least that shows that it could happen in anywhere, and not Thailand only like some ignorant people suggest here.
And merry Christmas to you too!

First of all.. Merry Christmas ! My comment makes sence. On 03 Mar 1974 a Turkish DC-10 crashed into the woods of Ermenonville, 37 km NE of Paris. There were no survivors. 346 people died instantly. Some years ago a friend of mine got out with his dog there. And guess what ? The dog found an arm. Just the bones but there are still remains there. In France !!! So if something like this can happen there I think there is much more left then metal peaces of the aircraft.

@Slaterator Your comment makes no sense at all. Just because there is some parts of metal left it doesnt mean that human remains are still there. Probably it has been searched very well and all human remains carried out, but I dont see why they should carry those metal parts out as there would be nothing to use them at.

May all those passengers and the crew rest in peace, even though it's been 20 years ago from then. I was born in the same year of the plane crash and I live in the province, actually the district where the plane crashed. It's so sad.. but it was an accident and it was not Thai people's faults. We never want any crashes on our land or near our houses. So please understand. The people in the video were speaking Thai, and all I could say is that they were not making fun of the wreckage.

Unbelievable that the wreckage is still at the site of the crash.
I remember that I was flying with this aircraft (OE-LAV) one week before the crash from Vienna to Bangkok. A few days after the accident I have seen in a Thai newspaper a list of the names of the passengers and also crew members and I have recognized that the crew who served us the drinks and meals during our flight to Bangkok died on the return flight to Vienna.
R.I.P.
I would say life is fated...
