National American Miss Nationals Formal Wear

2005/2007/2009
Just a little sample of my pageant "transformation" from 2005 to my most recent NAM experience. The first video was taken at my 3rd pageant and the last was at my 13th. All are at National All-American Miss finales, which take place Thanksgiving Week in Anaheim, CA.

We bought the videos of every single pageant I've been in, so I'll be adding more eventually. [=

The song isn't really related to the video in any way...But I like it.

@ItzKrissyy I won several trophies on the side but these are just what qualified me to compete in All-American: 2005 - State Cover Girl 2007 - 4th Runner Up 2009 - 2nd Runner Up 2011 - Top Model Winner Awards at nationals: 2005 - National Cover Model 2007 - 4th runner Volunteer service 2009 - 4th runner up academic achievement Nothing big, but nationals was still always an amazing experience. I'm likely going again this November!

@Littlebitty11 You still need an escort for the Formal Wear competition, which is earlier in the week. These video clips were from the pageant finale, where each girl has a chance to walk unaccompanied before the final awards are given out.

for your state competition, did you really find sponsors (business) to help pay for the $440? or did you just pay it off yourself...

btw, were there any girls wearing short dresses, not gowns?

@meeee1992 The very first year I competed, I got lots of help from local businesses that my family is familiar with (hairdresser, etc.) Now I get a huge pageant discount for being a returning competitor and I work during the summer so I pay it off myself (with lots of help from Mom!)

I've seen a few short dresses, and while they are fine for jrteens and teens, I have never seen one win. I know it's the girl and not the dress that's being judged, but longer dresses are so much more elegant!

@divaliah713 All my advice is spread out among my videos. I should try to bring them to one spot!

For personal introduction, be creative but don't be fake! You want your intro to capture the attention of the judges in a positive way. If you're naturally funny, make it funny! If you're passionate about helping kids, mention that! Whatever you do, be confident about who you are and don't try to be somebody you're not.

1st one and 3rd one you did a REALLY good job! On the 3rd one you looked very pretty!
