Just because people in your family are drunks, does NOT mean that you will become one. It IS and WILL always be the PERSON who is drinking's fault.

Please- I have alcoholics in my family- it is A CHOICE!
I've never drunk before in my 21 years of life because I made a CHOICE not to. Stop playing the blame game and take RESPONSIBILITY for yourself!
This 'blame someone else' mentality is fuelling the alcoholic problem in society. If I had my way I'd have all alcoholics *with children* rounded up and gassed! Yes- I said it.
Alcoholics are the most self obsessed selfish and arrogant people on this earth.
Death to you all!

There is no genetic link. This has been proven many times over.
Alcoholism is a learned act. Think about it, the drink never attacks you.
You are right that your parents teach you that alcohol is the coping fix. The damage caused by excessive alcohol consumption does not make it a disease.
There is not scientific proof for a disease ideal. It has failed to show the burden of proof as of date.
Addiction is a choice...Just thought I would comment - Sorry if you think I was rude.

I wanna thank you for your input a lot. You can message me also. I was angry at the time. More or less it was at the people telling me I was wrong, and that it was a disease. I used to be really angry at my mom. It really didnt deal with just being angry with her and things like that it was more or less the way I dealt with my emotions. I dont show off my hurt , I show off an anger instead and its really more me. Ive kinda learned from that and Im just listening to this now, but yeah. Message me

my family does not deserve to die just because they like to drink. we all go to work and pay taxes its not like all we do is drink. there are sober days . and you have never drank so how would you know the problems that come along with it and what to say. its not a choice all the time and i can tell you that cause i have lived it , you on the other hand have never touched it
