Walgreen's at State & Randolph was the site of where the milkshake was invented. Old man Walgreen made his fortune from the fountain, not the drugstore.

@CaliforniaUbrGrl It's a pontiac of the late 1940's. You can tell by the chrome stripes down the truck and the hood too. My father had a 1948 silver streak sedan. He paid $75.00 for it, and he bought it from a guy he worked with who hit a number. Remember in the fifties, $75.00 was a good week's pay, so that was like $500 or $600 today. We felt like kings riding around in that old car! People were grateful for what they had in the fifties. Now everybody wants to live like a king but not work!

It is called "The Sharp Edge of Revenge". It has been submitted to a festival in Geneva, Illinois and was seen at a festival in St Louis. It is set in Chicago in 1948 during the winter, so we really wanted streets scenes to do the opening with.
