I have just found Lefty and love his stuff, but the best version of this song is by
The Paul Butterfield Blues Band.

kingcobra2566 i think you are right. About "Drivin' Wheel" there is a recording on April 1970 with Johnny Young on vocals and mandolin and also Lefty Dizz on
electric guitar. First i had the feeling that Mighty Joe Young was on electric guitar because two "Young" had worked together at that time.

We spent many an afternoon after Cubs games with Lefty and Jon Mcdonald at Wrigleyside. "Shucks, don't git me started". If I had invested the money I spent buying Lefty shots of Wild Turkey I'd be a rich man today....I'm richer for spending time with Lefty though..

I had the pleasure of playing drums for one of Lefty's last bar tours in L.A. in around 91 or 92. He was a true showman and really controlled the audience like a true pro. He seemed to love schtick and his showmanship was easy to see. One night I forgot my crash and had to play the gig with only a ride, interestingly that turned out to be the strongest gig of all the shows I played with him. I don't think he knew or cared who I was as long as I didn't screw up on stage.

This sounds like more like Johnny Young, not Dizz.

Go Lefty! Many Wednesday's spent at the old Kingston Mines with Lefty...
I have been watching and loving BLUES for 30 years! This song belongs totally to the legendary Johnny Young (vocals and mandolin)...
