  • Hm, Have read to NOT stick from the TOP,,,only from the SIDES,,,,,??????

  • WOW really nice video, I have a really old piano that have to make some repairs and the hammers are so damage by age that they look rusted.. hehe nice repairing techniques:)

  • Very good!

  • Very informative! Good that you pointed out that regulation and tuning is the foundation that has to be laid before even begninning to voice. Many jump into voicing before the action is regulated.

  • WOW, helped me out alot

  • I was an apprentice with Bösendorfer, and a technician with steinway, my experience (10 years, yes i started young) id like to point out needling nderfelt sometimes makes the diference without having to needling entire hammer... example, yamaha uprights...

  • Most important is to have first the strings marks centered on the hammers, and even spacing (hammer travel and mating).

needling from above almost square to the hammer molding destroy too much tension to me, the action have to be took slanted to do so. Vocing is also done on the underside of the hammer. I don't reaally see what do you want to show there. The Steinway grand have a nice tone !
