@kro235 footballers are strong and agile, they are not strong compared with rugby players but rugby players are not strong compared with boxers or weighlifters, also football takes far more skill than rugby, if youre 6ft 6 and can run a bit you can play to a high standard of rugby.

Also soccer players have good fitness and coordiantion, but they aren't that agile or strong, which are the two main components of athleticism. A top ranked tennis player is easily more athletic, a rugby forward pack displays greater strength.
