Yours humbly, my version of the popular D Major study, better known as "Segovia N°6". This is not the Segovia version though, the original is slightly different.
As a beginner, I really should concentrate on his Op. 60 (easier), but hey: I like this one! Let me know what you think.

  • I like your interpretation of this piece, which I have played a lot. I can tell that you are not fluent at it, but your tone is good and you do have a musicality that is natural and refreshing. Some performances are machine like and they lose the pretty tones when you fail to emphasize certain notes. You seem to have an ear for what is pleasant to the audience. I encourage you to learn the piece until the mechanics of it are second nature... you will be impressive!

  • Thanks for your detailed remarks. At the time of this recording, I only had been playing for 6 months so it's obvious that technically there is a lot to be improved upon. I have been playing this beautiful piece ever since and it's in a different league now (I hope anyway)!

    Regards,

  • Very good!

  • Thank you stevenqirkle!

  • V nice interpretation. And a really lovely tone. What guitar do you play?

  • Thanks Arfurlife!:)

I play a Camps SP-6, probably the loudest €500guitar on the market!

I'm saving for a hand-built concert instrument though.

    regards,

    Vabejas

  • Why don't you use the fingerings like Sor has intended them?

  • Wonderfully played and nice left fingering. Thanks for sharing, just wondering if you play rest stroke or free stroke for the melody?

  • super playing i think ..have to ask how you got so good so fast?your piano background must have helped? Im playing a year and practice like crazy but a long way behind you.. amazing really your level of playing ..well done ..some of blackdogxx comments below make me laugh tho...easy to be super critical and have no videos posted yourself eh!

  • Admirable. Muy buena interpretación, bastante tranquila y fluida. Me gusta la facilidad con la que aparenta ejecutar el estudio (que no es nada fácil)

  • Very well played, excellent tone. 5*
