Luglio 1996 - Il primo viaggio in Vietnam del maestro Michele Garofalo. Allora 3° dang di Vovinam il maestro Garofalo si recò in Vietnam per 3 settimane con il solo scopo di allenarsi e scoprire il Vovinam in Vietnam, il suo paese di orgine. Il maestro, insieme ad un suo allievo di allora, per 3 settimane si dedicò all'allenamento, all'aggiornamento del programma allenando presso il TO DUONG, la sala dell'altare, palestra e casa del Gran Maestro Le Sang, patriarca del Vovinam Viet Vo Dao. Gli allenamenti li fece con il Maestro Nguyen Van Sen, all'epoca 7° dang di Vovinam.
Fu una delle esperienze più emozionanti e significative di tutti gli anni di pratica del maestro Garofalo.

July 1996 - First trip in Vietnam of master Michele Garofalo, at this time he was a 3rd dang Vovinam. He went to Vietnam for 3 weeks only to train Vovinam. He met for the first time Grand Master Le Sang and he trained with master Nguyen Van Sen at the TO DUONG, the Altar Hall of Vovinam.

@levovinam of course..this trip was really important for Master Garofalo, but also for all of us..we foud out what Vovinam was...and what Vovinam is in Vietnam..master Garofalo still remember this trip with love for the master that gave to him the opportunity to train and find out the essence of Vovinam!
