@MilsteinRulez As much as I love a 32' reed, I use it in Reger, Frank, Widor, I have never found it acceptable in Bach. Even tried it at the final entrance of the subject in BWV 547.
Why not use the 32' reed? Bach certainly would have. Or do you think he might have skipped it when playing the inaugural recital at the grand Hildebrandt in Naumburg?
Naah.
Honestly, take the Eb major prelude, or the C minor BWV 546. I can hear those ritornelli groaning: “Where is that reed? Don't you have it? ONLY a 16-foot Posaune? Oh well …”
This cathedral also has some very beautiful windows, I remember seeing St. Michael in the dome, and when I attended Mass there years ago, there was a beautiful large bronze statue of Joan of Arc. Thanks. Beautiful!

But 16' reed with 32' labial is wonderful.

@steelersfanhawaii "... the swell 8' geigen bottom two octaves are in the facade and hence NOT under expression"
Interesting! Did not know that. Does it cause a problem?
Wonderful performance!
Wonderful acoustics!
Surprised that Von Beckerath did not place his largest pedal pipes in view. I would have.
Never use a 32' reed in Bach.
