@extonville Also where I heard and it was absolutely right for the Lions of Cameroon who did the continent so proud. Youssou is another great Son of Afrika.

This song is probably one of the finest I have ever heard. Dang, Youssou, you're making me dance m'balax like crazy. Looking forward to see you in NYC in June.

... from Senegal, not even Afrika :)_... But this song has the free, admirable and epic character from the lion running through its vein. I can see the LION because of it 0-0 :):):).

I love Afrika; love their ancestors' culture about the origin & events of the animals, the Earth, the human race... Love their lions. Fabulous lions. Their amazing lions. Love'em with all my heart :). Hope they'll always be free, & this song is like if I was watchin 1 or 2 running lions in front of my eyes, their manes shakin with the wind, under an orange sky 0-0 :)... Hope the lions will never be tamed or extinct, the human ancestors' wisdom nor :(. Don't now what song's sayin _I'm not from

First heard this song back in 1990 when the BBC used it as accompanying music for the Cameroun football team at the football world cup in Italy. I don't think the BBC realised he was actually from Senegal but it was still an excellent choice of music for the tournamments best football team.
Thanks for postin'
Thanks for posting this song. IMHO its his best song but yours is the only version on youtube. By default therefore the best version and credit to you.
