Murattu Kaalai - Rajini tames the bull

Rajinikanth plays the role of a tough villager in this film. Jaishankar is a landlord of the village who is always in the process of usurping lands from villagers. His sister, Sumalatha and Rajni love mutually. Jaishankar approaches Rajni for a wedding proposal. Rajni initially considers it, but rejects later for the sake of his brothers. Rathi enters Rajni's family seeking refuge. She is a victim to Jaishankar's atrocities. Love blossoms between Rajni and Rathi. Surulirajan, to avenge Rajini creates a rift between Rajni and Jaishankar. False charges are framed on Rajni. How he proves his innocence is the rest of the narration. One of the highlights of this film is the running train stunt in the climax.
