It's campy. It's silly fx. But I'm sure for the day it was "cutting edge", but what makes a good show is it's story. And the story seems good. I'm sure in 20 years or less the new "Star Trek" movie will look like it was done by a 12 year old on his iPad...6

Like most good SF, SC was a bit optimistic. Compare BOX to iPhone. iPhone is junk by comparison, but people think it is wonderful to play stupid little games on their telephone. Current IP law will squelch ready access to most useful data.
A thought-controlled helmet tied directly to your bank account is probably the real future.
