FASCINATION MACHINES - RAYMOND SCOTT TRIBUTE

From The Raymond Scott Centennial Tribute event March 11th-12th 2008 at Concordia University in Montreal, Canada. A short film about the creation of a 5 in 1 fascination machine unit based on Raymond Scott's concepts for home ambient sound generators (as detailed in the Manhattan Research Inc. liner notes). Machine and film created by Mathew Waddell and Nathaly Arraiz.

Who's the cute girl at the beginning of the video? The device reminds me of a sound effect machine I had when I was a kid. I spent countless hours with that thing, making sounds and then taping them. Wish I could remember what it was called.

Cool, can you imagine if his invention caught on and it was common place for homes and ofices to have random sounds constantly being created etc...this would have changed our culture.
