Umm, unless there's a muzzle break, the flare/flash tends to come out of the barrel first.. :D Just saying. Also, the motion tracking could be a little better, but I think the gun waved a little too much. :P

1. blur the muzzle flare a little
2. blur the smoke a little
3.color correct the scene
4.ease up on the recoil (or add camera shake instead)
5.add some environment interaction

You don't need a model, just a still image and some motion blur if it's not a full-blown effect.
