My heavily requested video tutorial for very basic cloning/duplicating effects in Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0.

Keep in mind this is for something as simple as two guys standing side by side. Anything more complex such as one walking in front of the other requires more advanced masking techniques in Adobe After Effects. Possible tutorial to come...

  • You know how to do motion tracking/blurring? As in, for trucks with logos on them?

  • You'll need after effects for that.

  • You mention something about setting the expo to normal.. Is that something you can fix later in Adobe?

  • No, unfortunately not. It's a camera thing. The exposure determines the amount of light let in, if it's set to manual, it stays at a certain level until you change it, so it's basically still. If set on automatic, you run the risk of either shot having more, or less light let in, leaving a highly visible seam.

  • I just got this recently and can anyone tell me how this compares to Apple's Final Cut Pro. I used FCP several times and its really fun. Is Adobe Premiere similar to FCP? or is it much more limited in its effects? Thanks!

  • It's quite similar, just look for similarly named effects etc.
