Get your husband to help you out with whatever is stressing you out.
And lifting weights is actually a relatively easy way of losing weight. Your metabolism will jump up incredibly and you will notice that you will easily lose weight.
IMO cardio training, such as jogging, biking and swimming, requires a "fresher" body. I can easily workout and lift weights after a long days work because you can take rests in between sets, where as in cardio you have to go non-stop.

Thank you sooo much for this. I am a mom of 2 young kids and I am soo tired and need the motivation for not eating when I am stressed. I need to lose 60lbs and really need to stop snacking and eatin emotionally.
