I'm a Pitt fan, but I still like Clausen for the Heisman. He has incredible stats whether you like it or not. It's not his fault his team has no pass defense! I say rate the Heisman on the player, not the team. Clausen should get it.

@andrew7603 i agree notre dame has not had impressive success in any more recent history and that clausen is not the god to football, but notre dame consistently gets to bowl games regardless of the outcome, they finally beat usc this year, and they consistently have many of the elite recruits in the country decide to go there, including many five star recruits as shown for the 2011 class.. thats the mark of an elite PROGRAM

@MartinezCMHS He played shit comp. in college, and it showed when he got to the pro's. This is about clausen. ND is ok, but it's not elite. It was elite, but now it's just the back page of the sports paper. 23 years since a title, 2 bowl wins in the last 15 years, and you call that elite? All ND is RIGHT NOW is name recognition. Nothing more, nothing less.

@MartinezCMHS I'm well aware of the math. 7 of those 11 came in the 20's 30's and 40's. I don't know how you quantify championships from that long ago. I don't hate ND, just Calusen. ND is not elite. They were back in the 80's and some of the 90's, but other than that they haven't been relavent. What kind of dipshit shows up at his signing conference with little rings he won in high school playing sub par competition in a limo thinking he's something special. He didn't win shit in college.

@andrew7603 that's less than 30 years ago. and the fact is that nd is one of the elite programs in the country today whether you like it or not.. you don't have to be a fan to recognize that. if you hate nd so much, why do you even waste your time on their players videos?
