dir. Chris Boeckmann, 2007. In early 2007, 17-year-old Chris Boeckmann wanted to make a documentary to submit to the True/False Film Festival, a yearly documentary film festival held in his hometown of Columbia, Missouri. his mother, however, was concerned that making a documentary would interfere with his cross-country practice schedule, and forbade him from making one. His drive to create compelled him to sneak out from his mother's watch and create a film using his still camera's ability to store one 40-second MPEG at a time. "America" was accepted into the True/False Film Festival, and on March 4, 2007, showed to a full house of 1200 (including his parents) at the Historic Missouri Theater. The version hosted here includes four interviews not shown in the premiere cut. http://www.truefalse.org mailto:tapestore@catjams.com

  • Heh. I actually saw this in the Missouri Theatre...when's the next one coming? :( I'm impatient.

  • I'm proud of you Chris.

It was hilarious, and I can't wait to see "Men" hahaha.
