Also, what you said didn't make a lot of sense. I used a lot of exclamation marks ONCE, and in a joking manner, yet you say it like I use it in every other sentence. And the game developers themselves described Dante as more cocky and rash in DMC3, so as far as you being a "knowledgable fan of both franchises", that's a just bullshit.

@heavensxnight Dante was inexperienced and cocky in the first game, and lacked some of the power he has in DMC4.

Besides, are you telling me Henry from NMH would not be a powerful opponent for Dante? Henry gets slashed and stabbed 1200 times(!!!!??!!) with a laser sword, and he is still able to crack a joke and smile sarcastically to you.

Also, you should calm down a little dude, I'm just saying my opinion, no need to go berserk with rage here. ;-)

Everything Dante has in 4 he had since 3, when he was his youngest, so what exactly makes you think Dante was less powerful in earlier installments in the series when he just gets older? Even if he doesn't have the moves, he's still not human, whereas Travis is.

Anyway, I think Dante from Devil May Cry 4 would easily beat him, but Dante from DMC3 would get his ass handed to him by Travis. As for Dante from DMC 1 & 2... I think that match would be pretty even. ;)

@heavensxnight Ok, first of all, a mob of gangsters are actual people, not mindless zombies/ghouls/whatever.

Second, Travis has defeated a giant machine that causes earthquakes, that should qualify as something that rivals a giant monster in strenght. He has also defeated the goddess of death (Margaret), as well as an evil ghost (Matt), and a samurai that can summon a lightning dragon (Ryuji).

And third, I think that Dante in Devil May Cry 4 would defeat Travis, but not DMC1, 2 & 3.
