Greg and Michelle Mark of metro-Atlanta agreed to install a Power-Save 1200 on their home as part of a "CBS News 46 Investigates" report. After several months of tracking, the Mark's electric bill shows a decrease of 240 kilowatt hours used per month!

if you have heatpump your airco sistem runs in the winter as wel but in revurse so it isent going to make a big diference and this deosn't work

This is based on a capacitor which improves the power factor of inductive loads. in households, normally they would use capacitive loads thus this is not useful at all.

I have installed these for customer's who found them online and bought them themselves. I can't say for sure I know they work but I can say they every one has unused electric that goes back on your neutral side or to ground. I can't say i'm sold on these unit's but it does make sense if it grab's the power going back . The few I did install I did test as I turned on the unit and did see very small drop in amp's. That can vary depending on load and what is on.

The saver is no more than a capacitor which makes a drop in the current but an equivalent inrease in the power factor, The power consumed is the same. CBS is wrong somewhere. The conceptors of these scam products exploit the ignorance of the common man. If you cbx 46 , are poromoting uch scamthenin future your integrity will be questionable!
