@singforyoursupper I think it was his parents that were snobby in the story. He said he loved Chicago but his parents were the ones who "didn't buy" the idea of him working in Chicago.

@singforyoursupper I can understand how it seems snobby, but a bad production is a bad production; if they had Gershwin piece with nipple rings and water guns, they seriously need help...

I love Raul, but this is as bit snobby. I'm a Chicago-based actor, and for many, many actors, starring in a show at Drury Lane Oakbrook would be one of the high points of their career.

He's from Florida. He lived and worked in Chicago for about 6-8 years after he graduated from college. Then he moved to New York.
