I'm the guy in the 300zx. I got the AshSpec ecu and now, its like cake walk with the evo. It was a dramatic power change.

evo just runs higher boost than the 300zx that's it...ECU upgrade on the Z32 will smoke evo anyday

@333hpinline6 yeah sadly I used to be too tired argue on youtube, but I can't work on my car right now since I'm in another country and I get bored and much more easily annoyed lol. I agree 125 trap would be nice indicator of how hard I would be raping cars on the highway, though I'm not a huge fan of being the street racer type... but with short shifter, launch control and flat shifting I think 125ish is quite possible. We shall see how bad my tires suck and how hard my turbo blows lol :)

@333hpinline6 lol yeah sorry I went a lil crazy there, I had read so many ridiculous comments previously that I kinda was feelin a rant & you were the lucky one :) lol yeah i kinda like speed too... this summer I'm aiming 2 go low 12's high 11's on street tires for a total investment of no more then $12k (mods + initial cost of car) on a 300zx which I'm now converting to a single turbo. Should be fun :) lol I have trouble understanding small displacement NA engines in sports cars. yay bias...lol

@333hpinline6 Turbos have nothing to do with winning or losing..its just a way to make more power..a 300hp TT and a 300hp NA produce the same amount of work. Its mass over a distance. And here it shows.. the 300ZX has 300hp stock..the 350Z has 287 and the evo has 271 stock but it has a higher power to weight ratio than the Zs. Not to mention the skill of the driver is a big factor as well.

@333hpinline6 pleeeeaaase stop saying the words "real car"... you... and everyone here has no idea what the fuck that means (I'm just begging you to use more vague and relative words). Just because Nissan made the mistake of not going FI with the 350z doesn't mean you need to try and rally support for a platform that is much less flexible in hopes of getting people to ignore the fact that quality power is good regardless of whether its a FI or NA engine...

@closetbeaner ha ha ha... NO. I easily had the money to buy a 350z outright, but I didn't. Why? Because the 300zx is a better platform in basically every way minus the brakes and slight weight disadvantage (I'll give you that one)."real car"? I always thought that entailed having 4 wheels and a motor... it appears both have them but the 300zx gets to point B faster. and speaking of "quality"... in a PERFORMACE vehicle. You let me know when your Z makes it past the 200k mile mark, if it does...
