An important part of the Paradise Lost excursion is a visit to Shirazi village, one of our best kept secrets. Here experience everyday village life which centers round the mosque. See the village's life line - the manual water supply where women with babies on their backs, draw and collect water for their cooking and washing.
Visit a typical village home, made of mangrove poles, held together with coral rocks and soil, and roofed with palm thatch. See women making the thatch from palm fronds while others grate coconuts as they prepare the family meal. Watch the village kids while away their time playing in the sand, and help the men harvest cashew nuts. Try your hand at pounding the cassava (yam) into flour while enjoying the ambiance and simplicity of village life!
